Initial Prototype Design

For a side project, I attempted to create a simple animatronic hand that could potentially replicate the range of movement required for sign language. Further analysis into the finger motion assembly was investigated during a research study for credit at UVic.

Many possible issues were encountered and adapted for, from clearance and alignment to stress and complexity. The main hurdle for this application is in the motor/actuator size and force specifications.
